You know, for everything you've said that wrong with it, that is a really good looking machine. (I can't believe I just said that - sports bikes normally don't appeal to me at all, especially black ones.) I love the rear spring, the tank, the wrapped headers. That machine has soul.

Its not the fastest,or best handling, or best stopping bike i've owned
The R1 was shit loads better,
The CB900 was also better.(they are like a poor mans Buell)

But its the the one i like the most, its got truck loads of soul,
no need to do 160+k's every where just to have fun...
it just oozes coolness(IMHO)and is just a blast to ride.

Its got that great Harley growl/bark but with ground clearance and brakes to stop you.

I came very close to buying a new X1 back in 2000, but couldn't quite reach an amicable deal.
