Don't be fooled by the age, I use mine all the time and they make a sweet commuter.
If I ever wanted to downgrade from the MHR it'd be one model I would be interested in

Paul. Did you get those the wrong way round?

That 'cafe racer' doesn't do it for me. Again, a bike so personalised the only person it'll appeal to is the present owner. Not to take away from the skill involved but it'd be hard to strike a person for whom that was exactly what they wanted.

I think all custom bikes are like that - or should be...

Frankly the wee V65 / Monza hybrid appealed more to me, completely nuts, the rare 4 valve lemans (good grief)

As it did to me, the other bike was but ugly

I also like the Monza "650". Beautiful looking wee bike (should be in red though )

I recently bought a non running Monza 500 that I suspected was stuffed and had a nice low mile 750 small block to pop in it- if it was stuffed. But it turned out to be an original milage (23,000 miles) engine and is sweet as a nut now it's all fixed up. Nice easy conversion, although I would have to shim up the petrol tank 5-8mm to clear the bigger pots.
But they are a cracker wee bike with the 500 anyway.

That cafe racer is an aquired taste and has come up for sale twice in the last 2 years if memory serves me, it's a bit 'new school' for my tastes but I sure can appreciate the effort and skill in the original builder.

The Imola is pretty gutless, even around town. I had one for a short while and moved it on. You can bolt in any small block to them, so it would make a good platform for a special. Problem with the Monza/Imola is the skinny front forks, can't hop them up too much without looking into a beefier front end.

They were the first Guzzi I ever rode, loved it, especially up through the Hundalees

Is that a polite way of saying ugly?
