Cheers guys. My opening post was cut short. I specifically wanted to thank Daffyd and McJim who visited in the first week, and Shrek and Mrs Shrek who travelled from Roxburgh to Invercargill last Monday to see me. Bloody decent of you all.

Various people also kept in touch with my family which was appreciated - not much fun for them.

I had various visitors the first week but unfortunately I wasn't compos mentis. Apparently I kept insisting it was time to get out and feed the sheep. Tried to get dressed and go to work one night. And then there was the day a nurse caught me out of bed near the window but still hooked up to the urethal catheter........

Fortunately all of these events happened to someone else cos I have no memory of them.
