    I remember going through there around 10am on a great summers day, the road was freshly re-sealed... and it was melting... at 10am.

    Had a nice ride along woodcocks today. Uninterrupted bliss! I was the only vehicle in sight!

    (Perhaps original poster started this thread to keep the whole track to themselves )

    Didn't really find any significant gravel on the hill... lots of newly sealed gravel patches though on West Coast Road.

    Recommend taking Woodcocks from the Warkworth end, straight after the nice twisties do a a U-turn then go back for more.

    Was talking to a bloke at Puhoi today, he saw one bike hauled over by plod on Woodcocks as he came through, lots of bikes out today, you must have timed your trip very well

    GREAT thread! Some of you guys have got huge expectations, imagine there being an unsignposted imperfection in the road! " oh no, I might spill my moccha chooca extralitelatteeee!!!!!" Mind you, keeps the poofs away from our northland roads! Bahahahahaha!
