There's even a Wikipedia article on it (watch the episode first though):

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_Gear_Race_to_the_North

I believe it's a play on the original use of "Race to the North":

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_to_the_north

Now those were the days. Pre OSH. Pre HSE. Fantastic. (Having said that, wives couldn't always expect their husbands to make it back from work alive - not so fantastic.)

Watch for the immortal line from Hammond: "I'm now straddling my boyhood hero...."

    Good episode

Awesome episode. In fact it's a good season, a shame it was only 7 episodes though.

Actually it's not too bad. It can't be more than 3 months behind the UK screenings. Probably less. Much better that the likes of ER, Mythbusters, and some of the other American shows. They can sometimes be 1.5 years behind. It's getting better all the time though.

The next season of Top Gear starts shortly.

It needs to be near in time as nowdays, most people just watch online if there is any delay.

I know what you're saying but he's kind of right as they do have a carb on each side, as they're offset from the centreline of the engine to the left on the front cylinder and the right for the rear cylinder (see pics)

Yeah. I just download all the episodes...

Means I pay an extra $20 a month or so for my internet but I get to watch it with only half a days delay, don't have any ads, can watch it whenever I want, can fastforward through boring bits or replay good bits, can pause it so I don't miss anything when someone knocks on the door or the phone rings...

And that in a nutshell is why I haven't watched TV in about 2 years...

Edit: The 'Race to the North' episode was the first episode in season 13 which originally aired on 21 June this year, so that is almost 4 months delayed, definitely not as bad as the American shows. I imagine the BBC does the on-selling of its content to other countrys/companies quite a lot differently than most of the American media corps so that would probably explain why it's quicker...
