    Hello

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your email and to thank you for your comments. All correspondence received is documented and your feedback is appreciated.

One suggestion we often make to our callers in relation to levy issues is that one way to be heard is to visit your local MP. The levies and policies that you mention are set down by the government, and ACC are required to act under the currrent legislation.

We have also been advised of the following address/es for submissions by the public:

All submissions must be in writing and can be emailed, posted or faxed by 5pm, 10 November 2009. Submissions can be sent to:

    · email: consultation@acc.co.nz

    · fax: 04 918 4395

    · writing to: Levy Consultation, ACC, PO Box 242, Wellington 6140.

    Regards

    email from acc account manager

Following on from my email yesterday, ACC has now commenced consultation on the levy rates for the 2010/11 levy year. The consultation period runs from 14 October - 10 November 2009.

Levy payers have the opportunity to make submissions on all or any of the proposed rates and regulations. The proposals relates to the work levy rates (including the residual levy), the earners' levy rates and the motor vehicle levy rates.

What are the proposed levy rates?

Please note, ACC is required to develop its levy proposals under existing legislation provisions. However, the Minister for ACC is introducing amendments to the ACC legislation that will have an impact on the final levy rates set for 2010/11 (Minister's press release). In addition, ACC is undertaking a number of initiatives and improvement plans. There may be sufficient improvement data and trends available in December 2009 for the ACC Board to include the impacts on its final 2010/11 levy recommendations to the Government.

The following table compares the proposed combined average levy rates with the current rates. As an illustration, it also includes an indication of possible levy rates based on some of these initiatives and changes to legislation taking effect.

Preface: Unless otherwise indicated all Levy rates quoted are exclusive of GST.

    Post ACC levy submission

    IN the FAQ
Funny that they openly admit the way to reduce motorbike claims is to educate the other road users to be aware of them!
So they admit that fault is not always with the motorcyclist then!!!!
so why put motorcyclists at fault??

An email to Mr Goff should also help the fight!
