My first group ride!

Thanks to Caseye & Princess Bandit... and partners, I had my first group ride today, up to the light house at the Manukau Heads, I am not scared of anything now after that road... SO a BIG fat thankyou to the patient Ricky, and great bikers who know how to look after there own. Cheers Guys.

You could do it no worries Rocketgal68, but I'd suggest a few more long interesting roads, trips first, just to get the pace a little more consistent, you rode well and never looked like getting outa shape or worried, thats always good.
Was a pleasure leading the little band about to day, was supposed to be riding to Raglan with the BFTP this morning but I couldn't make it.So getting a ride in this afternoon was a great bonus.
Yes the wife and I are up for another pleasant arvo ride whenever you all want to, so google some roads and lets go again.

I remember my first group ride, the Westpac chopper ride last year in Christchurch. It sure is an experience, especially when you have to ride home through heavy rain and wind!

Yes I do prefer the longer roads, put me on the back though and I hate slow lol. and love the windy roads. It was certainly a challenge today, but the only thing (has I mentioned a million times lol) is the wind on the bends... every time I ride, I have a new experience.

Bit of a climb up (as it is to all lighthouse) be silly to build them in a lowish place....

Went out there a couple of years ago, meet up with a ride leader who had misplaced his group, we helped for a while and finally found them at the Kentish (sp) in Waiuku....

LOL Hey Maha, that wasn't Ol Jafar by any chance was it? He's still losing his riders, not really. Yes the last bit of road was a couple of hundred metres of up and down windy gravel so again well done to our newbie riders, Rocketgal68 and Ratbag my good lady wife.Metal is never easy but both ladies handled it well.
Wind, on a coastal road is always going to happen, be thankful it was a relatively calm day.
That Lighthouse was worth the last little climb too Maha, even in full gear.
Oh and the paddy was as always a welcome oasis in the southern wilderness.
Pity about the wait though.

We tried to entice RGirl to come up to Puhoi on Saturday after the Manukau thing, all you have to do (as Jafar says) turn left at the end of the motorway.

You too!!! lol have not had the honour of being lost yet... Maybe the Kentish might have been a better idea... next time? Def was worth the trip, next time bringing a camera... ye I will do that again!!

The Motorway is ok for getting used to that constent speed thing, oh and we had to deal with a bit of 4x2 in land two yesterday, we were in lane one but you know how people panic, cars breaking everywhere....

I was late getting to Puhoi, had to drop off Renegade Master first, but there about 150 triumph owner people there, they had left just before I arrived thank god, lunch was only a 20 min wait...
