www.prospeedmc.com for parts ex U.S.A ( He's a Kiwi! )
Jeez magua - you just aren't listening today, are you?
About as much as the carbs you are looking at buying![]()
Nope, I don't know much about tuning carbs or how they should be. My own bike consistently needs the choke to start till it warms up, and it's got a weird kinda flat spot when you're trying to accelerate so that you actually accelerate faster at 3/4 open than at full throttle. But I'll just live with it...Originally Posted by Magua

Nope, sorry I have no idea. I think the Zeal's engine is supposed to the the same as the fazer engine which is different to the fzr250. I don't know about the carbs though.
It looks like the Zeal's carbs have got 137 on the butterfly. Not sure what the jets are though, or if any of this relates to the fzr, so it's not much use.

You could buy my Fizzer?
Yours for parts???? All mine needs is a decent rear shock. I bought it for $3300 and spent 2 grand on it since. Wanting about 3 for it.
From memory the zeal and 3LN motors are the same but the earlier 2KR motors are different. I can tell you that my bike does 18-20kms/ litre.
Yes it is 2kr like yours and Like I've said before it has a 47tooth rear sprocket. Though it is not fun in town. I would recommend the 51 tooth. Yours as standard will have a 55 tooth. I found a near direct relationship between changing the gearing ratio and fuel economy. eg increase ratio by 18% I got that much better economy. BUT to compare apples with apples I was doing all open road riding whereas you are round town so economy is never great unless you get out.

Sound like your bikes running a bit 'skinny' (lean) check for air leaks/incorrect jets or sommat....Originally Posted by erik
