Well if you are representing ''the left'' you are not setting a good example are you?
ACC needs a thorough overhaul, it doesnt need to be paying for sporting injuries ( as I have suggested previously ) and it doesnt need to be ripped off by sub contractors to it hiking their charges.
Yes, the charges on motorcyclists are unfair, no argument on that basic premise.

    Representing who? The left?
The left what? There is no left in NZ. Only the left over.
Have the courage of your convictions and don't try to hide behind this "soft" right stance...concerned capitalism, (Feltex) or right of center liberal. What bullshit.
    Who gives a shit?
Support us or fuck off.......Simple choice.
As for right wing? Fuck you and your tree hugging, re cycling, eco friendly, carbon trading consumer driven society.
    You aint seen nothing yet!
    I consider you a monKEY..
And monKEY do as monKEY see

I do not think privatisation is a good idea, state owned enterprise is the way to go. Look at electricity, that used to be really cheap, then the government sold it off. Now it is rather pricey.

Most motorcyclists are respectable and for the most part law abiding citizens, but it has popped into recent conversation that there is an element that do the image of motorcyclists no good at all. Particularly those that are contemptuous, antagonistic and debase their language to the gutter.
To that end I am sure it is not lost on many that it is vitally important that those who are talking directly with the politicians are doing so in a well articulated, well researched and polite manner. If they know their subject and can articulate it well then there is at least a chance of some compromise.
I went to High School with my local mp ( Jonathan Young ) and he is a reasonable guy.

    Lightbulb

Don't know if it's been said yet but remember that a member of the Nats will very likely be reading threads on kiwibiker. Hell, they probably have a whole team on it. If they see that ultimately this won't loose them too many votes we may just loose our political edge.

Just something to think about when you are voting in a poll National would LOVE to run right now.

EDIT: I see I'm too late and not the first to mention this, polls closed, everyone has gone home; sorry.

    Cool

Too late to vote. But yes, Nats will NOT get my vote. And everyone I associate with (non-bikers included) are being brainwashed by me. Should make 100+ voters.

Now if every biker could do the same. Let's see... 100,000 bikers times 100 makes 10 000 000. Wow... we need more Asian immigrants!

May the bridges I burn light the way.
