the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.
Unfortunately, due to work and personal matters the ride to Welly is out for me, HOWEVER, it's starting to look like Nov 3 for NPL / Taranaki - the only date I can guarantee we can get with our MP.
Pussy, Naki Rat, any chance we can get together over the long weekend? At the point where some assist may be needed

Okay, who from the naki is going on the 17th to Wellington? My first plans are ride down Monday back Wednesday. Thoughts, suggestions, let me know if you want to tag along or vice versa etc.
Still up for a local one also. 3/11 is good for me also.
3/11 sounds good, maybe stops along the way, at set times so people can join.
Looking at the other threads the main Wellington (parliment) one will be 17/11. Awaiting to hear about the local one. Taff suggested 3/11 for the local one but this has yet to be finalised.
the 3/11 is a good date. ill be there.
where do we meet to start?![]()
For all waiting on an update on the ACC protest in New Plymouth:
Jonathon Young, MP for NP has agreed to meeting a delegation of Taranaki bikers on Tuesday 3rd November. This, unfortunately, is the ONLY date he will agree to.
Naki Rat, Pussy and I will be getting together Sunday afternoon to put together a workable proposal for the ride. Paulmac down in Hawera has indicated he can help rally the troops from down south.
Being a mid-week event and at relatively short notice, I realise we'll struggle get huge numbers of bikes on the road, but I'm certain we will get enough to bring public attention to the cause. There are already a few from ouside the KB ranks I've spoken to personally who will be looking to join in, and the ride is yet to be publicised outside this forum.
Barring earthquake, volcanic eruption, or my daughter going into labour a week early, I should be able to post something semi-final tomorrow evening or Monday morning.
Ride safe over the long weekend

Keep up the good work Taff, keep us posted on times etc and I will see if I can sneak out of work for a while on 3/11 !!
Yeah good work Taff, watching and waiting for info but I'm there!![]()
Oh bugger
sounds good
is this a peaceful ride? or are we going to sound like thunder?
wondering if i should take my baffles out or not :P
As it's all about gaining public support I don't think pissing people off by having (illegally) noisey bikes is going to help our cause
If we get a good turnout the amount of bikes will be our biggest advantage in attracting attention in a positive way.
Probably one of the points for us to ponder tomorrow.
yea i guess
finally a good reason to take a day off school
ill spread the word
November 3 is definitely on for New Plymouth, The basic plan is have everyone assemble at the large rest area at the intersecion of SH 3 and Mangorei Rd at 1 pm, leaving at 1:30.
The route will be into the city on SH 3 / Coronation Ave, right through to Molesworth St, then down to Liardet and to the National party offices. We will deliberately avoid Devon St. Although that may cost us a little in terms of exposure, we avoid the risk of fragmenting the ride, and of getting offside with the general public. There are still a few small details to be worked out, plus coordination with South Taranaki, but we do now have a plan.
Naki Rat and Pussy are also well involved with setting this up (thanks for this arvo's meeting guys).
Put the word out folks.

thanks for your efforts.
ill be there
