    Oh dude, it was you!
My neighbour told me about this yesterday as I came home from work. Initially he thought it was me (blue bike and all).
That sucks. Glad to hear you are OK though. Hope you gave the young lady in question a lecture about what is happening to us bikers and that this is a perfect example why.
Stationary bikers getting rear ended happens quite a bit.

I'm doing an article for the local paper about the ride that left Levin last weekend and I've spoken to Chanceyy, but I also need a Kapiti (Otaki to Pukerua Bay) person to comment, so if there is anyone from that area who went on the ride on the 31st who is willing to comment on the record, could they please send me a PM with their contact details and I'll give them a call. I really need to speak to someone today if possible.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

As for the 6-7 people that missed it, who's to say it wasn't 100 or more?

I know it was an Ulysses event. My questions was very direct (who not as in which organisation but as in what person).

I guess It would be very non-pc of me to blame this screw-up on the Ulysses members' average age but that's the nicest of all thoughts I've been having towards the organiser(s) since Saturday.
Pretty simple solution really. Next time YOU put YOUR hand up to be the organiser and YOU encourage everyone to keep up to date with YOUR information. Put some of that angry energy of yours into pulling your weight instead of your pudding. As to the average age of Ulyssians - well ... you should be so lucky.

Shit...we will have to behave on the Hill tho!!!!
Hey Stoney, Get Chris to see if there are any others that would also like to do it. I'm quite happy to take an MP over the hill at a sedate pace.
(If it's a National MP, I'm sure I could ditch them over the edge on the way up )

Good PR exercise that could help the cause.
I'm only wearing black until they develop something darker

Good on you.I am new at this so dont know the best way to get message across but the important thing in putting in a submission is Ask To Be Heard.
By the time the Govt organise all the conference calls the message might start to sink in. Please help spread this info Cheers

    Well said mate

I may have my own issues with how Saturday went down, but they DID it and they did it for ALL of us

A lot more than many of the loudest voices out there have done to date

I tip my hat to the Ulysses club for the effort on the 31st, nationwaide it was a great effort
Just wish one or two of em would have offered to clean the Cenotaph.....maybe we wouldnt be forced to the stadium now, but never mind

    Just ride.

So... is the latest that we park to the stadium and walk up to parliament? or parliament comes to us at the stadium?

I'm a bit confused (I was already stupid).

I was really pleased - I had no idea until today that it was going on the front page so I was just as surprised as you were! Front page AND two photos - beat Bill English no less!

There is a link to the story - you may have to sign in to read it but apparently it's free - this one (http://fairfaxmedia.newspaperdirect....er/viewer.aspx) was working before, but if it's playing up, try Googling The Horowhenua Mail and when you see The Horowhenua Mail Online, click on one of those links (the Fairfax one seems to work best).
