Fank you, fank you - and it's my husband riding the blue Beemer in the middle of the pic! Anything to help, even though my bike is up for sale, it's still going to affect so many people I know so it's worth speaking up against. It was just lucky that I ended up working there the week after the ride so I went along to get some photos knowing I'd be able to get at least something published!

    Excellent reporting there.
Your name is familiar. You used to hang out around the Central Region Rally Series a few years ago? Or the Hutt Valley Motorsport Club? I can't quite place it but there is a bell ringing somewhere.

Good memory, that's me - used to write the Central Region rally reports for Speedsport and provide the Evening Post with photos for the Autopost. Was a member of the Wellington Car Club and Joe McAndrew's team photographer for three years. Also co-drove for a few different drivers.

Dave, the latest is we park at The Stadium (for those in the convoy) and we walk to Parliament
Furthest possible walk (I have paced it) is 200 meters and change from the mass park

I was called today by a disabled rider, who needed a space close, so what we do have at Parliament will be for likes of this chap

We have so many coming there was nowhere else

We organized a big flash toilet truck too!!!!!

I am coming up from Christchurch, and staying with my cousin.

Now he is in the Brass Razoo Solidarity Band, and they play at political protests. We could quite possibly get them to come and play at the protest.
We just need to send them an invitation. Who is one of the organisers of this protest so that I can get in contact with them so that they can give out an invitation?

I dunno about a band playing, parliament security might call the shots there but could we use their amps and mic's?

It is a brass band I believe so they won't have any mic's or amps. They tend to play at political protests and that sort of thing.

Ok, thanks but not what this group need.

We had a great event at Parliament on Saturday but we have to utilize the time we have there to present real manifesto driven points of delivery
Social impact, industry impact, loss of revenue from many sources as industry crumbles into a rich mans playground.....blah blah

WIMA made an especially good speech and will get to again

Your doing a grand job Stoney !! See there on the 17th !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

The only thing that slightly worries me about the stadium parking is the Media running head lines " Where Are The Bikes", or something of that ilk, yep I understand the reasons for parking at the Stadium, But the good reasons may take away from our presence, Maybe as we leave we ride up past Parliment, The council and police can't do anything about that, unless they block the Streets to all motorists, wich they may try.
Do not underestimate how dirty and underhand our oppisition may be.

I was thinking along the same lines but got stuck on what route we could take past parliament on our way to the Stadium... then my head hurt so I stopped

Out of the Stadium, turn right onto Waterloo Quay, turn right onto Whitmore St, ride up to Lambton Quay, turn right down Lambton Quay, turn Left up Molesworth St, passed Parliment, then on up passed ACC Head Quarters that is oppisite Thorndon New World, Then onto the Motor way north for those who wish to leave town, or on up to Tinakori Rd for those who don't.
