    Will be hunting forest roads and Whakamarama etc. Definitely nothing over 600cc with the new fees - so not a DR650.

    An XT225 would be good, if you could get one at the right price. Unlikely to come with a carrier, but it shouldn't be too hard to get something made up - especially if you don't mind about cosmetics and can cut some holes in the rear plastics.

    CT110 for hunting ?

    Just tried out a CT110 bike and they are cool - nice and small and light - but a little bit slow for the open road - what can be done to get more top speed out of them ??

    Thing is, I bet they will still go after that even! AND they could run off used fish and chip oil!

    what about trailering to the boundrys and bikeing from there.

    XRs are pretty light
