done and done! (getting good at this paint.net thing now)

I havent done a palmy Ulysses flyer as I'm not sure I will make it to the rally, and I dont think any onee else has put a hand up to organise it from the palmy end. I'm sure everyone knows where levin is anyway!

For the BIKOI are we planning on accomodating learner riders? as the 70kmhr speed limit will require extra organising. Also, would it be benificial to try and find car driver with passenger for ride leader and tail end charlie? a lot easier to communicate than on a bike.

Thinking I might just have to drag myself out of the woodwork for the 17th hehehe.... been a long time since I went on a group ride (2 licences ago even!) Unfortunately Mrs DJ can't come along and keep my back warm for the ride (and she is my reverse gear sometimes hahaha) as she has to work that day

Are your times still 9.00 P/N and 10.00 Levin? You need to be at Papakowhai (Police College) in time to leave at 11.30 according to this
Really important, cos our guys have a long way to go and I need to ensure they have enough time.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I am reasonably comfortable with 90 minutes to Porirua for normal riders. But I would suggest that smaller bigers, or those with learners riders may want a bit more time, and could possibly filter down half an hour earlier. If other areas feel more time is needed, we can revise the start time - let me know.

Can't speak for other areas, but HB group intend leaving Napier by 6.30. It's just over 2 hours to P/N (being good) so they will be right for Square leaving at 9.00.
I am just concerned that big groups take a while, the nearer to Welly the bigger they'll be, and the times are going to get very close.

It normally takes me 45 -60 mins to get fr Levin to porirua (destination) I feel 90 mins is plenty long enough figure we will have two groups (normal road speed and prob learners)

Yea, I know that Levin to Porirua is not a great deal time-wise. For a solo rider. I was thinking that with groups potentially in the 1000s (he said hopefully) that time will be wishful thinking

Is there anyway you can do up a few flyers for next sat rally as well ??
i dropped a poster off at the one the members of the triumph club and was told they are onto it nationally. at this point in time, im the only rider i know of that will be attending from this town. im am seriously hoping that wont be the case.
i will drop one off at my neighbours and also my former bosses tomorrow. heres hoping they will be interested.

there will likely be riders from new plymouth and furthur north as well. im planning on being on the road about 7 or 7.30ish, to allow for a quick shop at levin and also the almost ritualistic comfort stop.

hopeful biker... i am more than happy to just ride slow if you or anyone else needs. im used to being at the back of the pack. lol. just remember the basic riding 'rules' of being staggered etc. im sure the ride rules will be explained before we leave levin, and then again at the police college.

We can always filter them through sooner if ppl are there at 9am we can send groups off in 10 min intervals .. another plan

    That would work. Good thinking
