Who's good for chroming in Christchurch?

Want to get my fishtail exhausts re-chromed. Anybody know of a chromer in ChCh that does a really good job?

    Thanks.

I took parts to a certain outfit down here. He dipped my fork ears to remove the chrome prior to replating and the acid ate away the metal filler in the fillets where parts had been spot welded. Destroyed them. Cost me over $150 for repro parts from the USA.

A certain polisher ground the numbers off my bolts and my flat head bolts came back looking like dome head ones..Then tried to charge over the top.

Another rooster didn't want my custom as "that Japanese metal mate, it's rubbish".

So I can't really suggest anyone. Maybe you could phone the guys in the motorcycle club at the VCC. They must know. If you have a good result please post up here as I'm looking for a new project and will need a decent plater myself.

There's a guy in Timaru who does the job properly. Strip, nickel and copper etc but I don't know what the end result is like.

    Just my two bobs worth.

He has been recommended before and I know one person in Timaru who has used him on car bumpers and liked the results

Nickel, Copper, Chrome supposedly gets the best most durable finish, not many places seem to do it like that unless you specify it

Thanks. I've heard mention of someone in Timaru before actually. Will try to follow up.

Dunno about chromers but I do know a girl in Christchurch who could suck the chrome off a Bonneville exhaust.
