Well, Maramarua was absolutely superb today. Hard to beat hammering up those greasy climbs.

(Hmm, had a sneaky feeling I might have seen cheese today - top of first bit of 1st loop?)

Yeah all teh alloy plates have tracks in them and all but 2 are very worn and have a lip inside them. The fibre plates are possibly ok, but as they are probably now have been over heated, they would need a sandblast.

Yes, that was us. Bugga about your clutch cheese. Mine has been doing the same as yours for a while. On/off like a switch & hard to slip, was thinking probably notched basket. Best I take a look at it shortly. Some folks replace alloy with steel plates?

2nd loop starting from buildings at bottom was just excellent. That was quite a deep water hole about half way round. Decided to stop for closer inspection before attempting. 3 quads tow roped together to get themselves through when we got there.

Hell, had such a good time, thinking about sneaking out Tuesday arvo for the twilight ride as well...

Hey xen, 'Everest' easy enough in dry but different story on a rainy day?

I attempted it a few times before and couldn't make it up but once you have enough speed its not bad, rainy would be crazy lol

    ?
Steel plates last forever and they spin up slower (fly wheel weight theory). Seems logical. I've heard people put cr125 steels in my 03 Ktm 200 model but haven't tried it. Should fit the 08 as well. Although from memory I can't remember any alloy ones in the 03 when I did the engine up. My 08 one makes a graunch when you give it real shit but still works ok. Probably need to look at that but works so its a round 2uit job LOL!!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Hmmmm clutches. I heard u don't need to clutch to change gears. Does that hurt stuff. Noob question I know.

I went up to the Dome today by myself. Good fun actually. Did 2x loops and about 20 laps on the track and got really muddy.

    Lots of people there.
