    900 Hornet Flapper MOD

    Help
    What is it what does it do and is it worth doing
    i have heard that the flapper mod is worth doing
    on a 900 hornet, but i can not find any info on how
    to do it and is it worth doing

    I thought the flapper mod would be referring to installing a hinged upper and lower flap in front of the rear wheel to keep shit of the shock instead of a hugger.

    Oh well, doesnt really sound like it does much.

    We did it on our two Hornets.
    Any difference noticed is probably more psychological than anything.

    Tried it on the VFR too ("Coz everyone is doing it"), as well as the PAIR valve disabling thingo. The flapper made the bike noisier at <5k rpm, and flattened the torque curve a bit, so it felt like there was less of a kick when accelerating. Disabling the PAIR valves made the bike run worse.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.


    Or maybe not...
