So no worries....... I will be giving the faithful ZZR some more love........

yeah I've been thrashing mine and still got that last 2-3mm of silicone...... there are scrapes in it but they are unatainable while riding 2up cos my pipe scrapes first!! and I do around 80% of my riding 2up
Dah if the pipe is hitting the ground then it sounds like it needs some rangi relocating. That or cut it off! Before I changed my high mount exhaust to the low mount I was have trouble hitting my right toes on the road due to lack of foot space due to the high pipe. Wasn't about to cut the foot off so took to the pipe.

    Good as gold now

I tried some 96 50:50 with avgas in the weekend in my quad. Much better pull in the lower rev range. Am wondering if it would pep the FiZzeR up or Blow it up???

hmm, i was just gona chuck in a full tank of av gas (100 octaine) and see what happens, cos we only use av gas in our chain saws at work, and their two strokes, so i figured it wouldnt hurt, but i didnt think about blowing it up or mixing...prolly a good thing i didnt do it in the end!

well, there is one obvious way to find out for sure...

"now, lets see, I'll just add this, and I'll start her up... lets give her a bit of revs... BOOOOM, nope, that didn't work...

I'll have to try something else, but first I'll need another bike..."

Beacuse the shit that flows from our 96 pumps is not what we are told it is! !, overseas 96 or "super" is actually better quality and has a higher octane rating, here they take a tank of 91 and chuck in some explosive shit so old cars dont ping so much and new cars think they are going harder...... sorta (I have passed real tests bout hydrocarbons...)
Bike motors are generaly more "racey' and are more sensitive to what you run through them. they do have to be tuned to whichever octane is being used to obtain maximum power. So for the Max out of your motor run av-gas and service it every 1000kms. (av-gas is illegal for road use but smells sooo good. ..)

BP 98(the expensive one) and apparantly Gull are better gas but one cannot always find a BP with the gold shit when on the reserve....

Sooo 91 runs cleaner and more efficiantly (in my ZZR anyway!), I get better fuel consumption and the tank is cheaper to fill. the Exhaust note sounds better too, popped around more with 96-98 and sounded like I was killing it...

I am a convert and always run 91 now. I used to swap depending on how rich I was feeling because I thought 96 was better..... changing over makes for funny running....... I found that it would run funny for a while then once it was all mixed up?!? it would sort its shit and show the charecteristics of the sort of petrol i was using....... If ya know what i mean......

    I keep to 91 now.....

oh and i blew all the packing outta my can on 98!!!!
The world stands aside to let anyone pass who knows where he is going....

Well.............. I have been running 91 for the past couple of days....

...last night I did about 100kms of straight motorway commuting at a steady 110..... and the bike seemed better.

This morning I did my usual Scenic Drive blast and the bike sort of felt a bit sluggish.......

Maybe it was the bike or maybe it was the fact that I put the liners back into my jacket and pant and couldn't move......

Either case, there's a ride tomorrow and I'll be keen to see how it performs then.

    Thanks for the info

there's plenty of threads on fuel quality and rating etc. go for a search.
I think you'll find 96/98 burns hotter and cleaner, where as 91 has more 'aditives' in it, and doesn't burn as hot, hence it felt more sluggish..
