Well Jimmy, Myself & the one other doing "the speed ride" tootled past the greenhouses doing 78kph at 1916, tooted our horns, and were disappointed that there were no flowers.

Stayed at the posted speed limit the whole ride, no dramas.

I find the limit being posted at 80kph to be disturbing.
It isn't your fricken private driveway.
I recall one retard driving his 4x4 down the middle of the road one night abusing all and sundry.
Another giving us the evil eye and wagging his head as we sped past at around 50kph.
    How Bizarre, How Bizarre?

    Here's a point to ponder.
Given that the cops jpi9n the ride every Thursday, almost without fail, and they haven't issued a single ticket for speeding for .... a year? ... Then why do they persist with this bullshit urban legend?

A kindy unlike a school requires the kids to be locked away in an escape proof cage similar to the zoo or parry prison. (He says looking out his window at the kindy across the road.
If a littlie wanders on the road theres a heck of a lot bigger issue than if you are going slightly over or under 80km/h in a 80km/h zone.
Also even the very best/most generous kindy only operates from 7.30am till 6.00pm, outside of these hours there are no kids there.
The kindy is a red herring. It's in a rural area with no footpaths and down a long driveway.Any kid that manages to escape its warders, get down the drive and out on the road is probably named Steve Queen. The child is just as likely to drown in the road side ditch as get onto the road itself.

I had one arse try to run me off the road,Just down from the Old North RD intersection, with his van.He was doing 40kph and objected to me passing him at 70 in my sportscar. He was a local, turn into a drive at the bottom of the hill.

thanks to everyone that has sent me messages in support. All agreeing that now and then people need a reminder about riding safely, within the nominated speed.

thanks also to those of you that object to riding safe here, i hope my words of wisdom pop into your head the split second before you collide head on with one of the mum's cars, full of kids, pulling out from one of the blind driveways on peak rd. You all have my sympathy in advance, and i'm sure your wife and kids will mourn their loss.

Judging by your rep count the messages have been a lot less than complimentary.

Yeah, birds of a feather flock together.

We get enough of that bullshit from the government thanks.
The ACC have long held that motorcyclists should be taxed off the road.
They are trying this right now.
As it is for our own safety, I expect you will appreciate and support this great government iniative.

No one likes a busy body - well except for your knitting circle.
