Good interview. Reporter hadn't really got much more than "you accept you crash more?"

Good combacks from Les - he used easy to follow/simplistic arguments that the wider public could follow.

    Well done.

At least it's good to see the ACC figures being refuted on live primetime TV

I like the way ixion talked over the top of the interviewer.Usually it's the other way around.

Thanks for the link, the interviewer was basing his assumptions on figures that as was said are not in the public domain, he offered to send the figures to Ixion but seemed to fail to grasp that this information is different to what ACC themselves publish.

It would be nice for them to re-look at the information the public have been given and the information given to the media.

I like the way Ixion managed to display the difference between injuries in a car vs bike crash, but still the general public would not have understood due to the interviewers bias.

All in all a good effort, I sincerely hope BRONZ Auckland, and what remains of BRONZ around NZ have success, a coordinated effort is what we need to see here involving all motorcycle clubs, (excluding gangs, sorry but you guys give the public the wrong impression even if its unintended). Its a shame not all regions have a BRONZ any more, and no I will not put my hand up for the local region my working hours don't allow it.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

i worked out with work and registrations I am paying 2k per year I am sure I can get insurance for less than that.
they wont bring back to right to sue or the councils will go broke with us suing them for the bad road conditions that cause accidents

How about the chance to opt out. I choose not to pay the levy's and decide if I want private insurance, or to just take care of myself. For the workplace gimme back the right to sue. NO ACC at all would be better than the stupid, broke useless system that we alone in the world have, Why is it that off all the countries that have looked at our system, no-one else has ever copied it? Answer, IT DOESN"T WORK ... NEVER HAS ... NEVER WILL
    Not according to this guy.

“For the Government to wrap legitimate concerns about slippage in ACC's performance in a whole lot of shrill scaremongering and scapegoating is gratuitous. …ACC is a civilised and cost-effective approach to dealing with the injured. Why undermine confidence in the scheme, unless you plan to undermine the scheme itself?”
