I went to the VMX at Hellensville on sunday,saw a bit of racing,met some guys I haven't seen for a few years,and saw some really choice bikes - Rickmans,Cheneys,Spatans,Huskies,CZs,Greeves...oh, and Hondas and Suzukis too.Shit,that TM400 could move.

There were some guys and gals on Harleys too,about 8 bikes,nice big blocks.Another version of me - the one with the pony tail and beard wearing black leather and the weathered look of a hard life would of got a nod of acknowledgment and been offered a beer.But today I was wearing multi coloured Motocross gear and riding a ring ding Jap dirt bike,not the sort of guy they even look at.We left at the same time,by different ways...but ended up going through the road gate together!!

HA HA! what a hoot! Potato potato potato, ...ring ding ding ding I blitzed a couple coming out,their heads swiveling wondering WTF the noise was...neeyit,neeyit,neeyit as I flicked through the gears.So I went down into Hellensville riding with my mates in the gang.Coming around the corner by the Pub some guys were watching all the Harleys come around...then me!! I laughed at the guys on the curb and flipped them the bird,they were laughing too,it must of looked so funny.

At the right turn I went straight ahead and onto Old North Rd - at the turn off I met a blue Ninja,but he wouldn't play in the twisties,then ran away on the straights,with me catching again - he was looking back for me all the way to Riverhead as I kept reeling him in on the corners.A fun day on the DT230.

Sorry for being a tosser by not turning up to pick up the mags but when I had planned to come, KB site was down and I couldn't get your addy off the PM and now it's just been so busy with everything that I haven't been able squeeze some time to come.

After the weekend, I'll atleast get a break till Round 2 next month, so I'll PM you then.

I cannot for the life of me understand that type of attitude ,,,you know the ones ,,,wrap around shades cut off leather ...an hardly ableto ...and the conversational ability of ......insert you own image

BTW I have a 86 cr but the VMX class here hasnt taken off here ,,, yet ..so you can still pick up bargains off the yahoo auctions .... try $ 200 for an unrestored red racer cr250r ....I m still kicking myself over not buyiing that one ....the missus would have me ....

So I passed it up ( and bought a 91 cr for the same price a bit later ) .....
