    Warning. Tax time SH16

It seems the coppers are giving SH16 a hammering. One of the hunters is in a Gold Nissan Maxima using Stalker in 'instant on' mode. Apprently he made a killing on the weekend.
    Favourite hidey holes are;
the reserve just north of Kanohi,
the lay-by next to West Coast Rd,
the last straights before the rise up to the Port Albert turn-off.
Eyes open guys, remember "first in line gets the fine"

    Nasty

If you know one is there. It's rather embarrassing for them if you come over the hill rise doing 70km/h and maintain it!

Done it with effect in my car. :spudbooge

100 on the dot and maintain it past them without doing the little conscience dab of the brakes. Shows a certain lack of respect.

No worries... I live out that way and find "sticking to the speed limit... ish" an effective option against getting tickets. I can ride right through radar beams without a care in the world.

That's one of the most sensible options to those that don't want to fritter their money away, plus it makes you feel good that you have nothing to worry about (kinda like when you ride off from getting a brand new warrant).

Only one vehicle in view at time of locking on the speed Lou.

    It raises a good question...

what are the rules of engagement for radaring cars?

One one in the beam at a time, no more than 500m away.. etc etc etc.

I know not (as I've probably just highlighted)... but it'd be interesting for those of us not in the plod or ex plod club

If we told you we would have to kill you, heh, heh, heh.!

But in a simplistic way - first in line gets it!

ok... but (at the risk of lining myself up for execution scumdog style...)

"only one in the beam at a time... does that mean only one in the sight picture - and if so how big is it...

What about a car passing another one?

    etc...

You wouldn't have to kill me - it's all available under the Public Information Act, but I just get to cut through a lot of the paperwork (not to mention talk to intelligent beings rather than read legislation and standard operating procedures... *YAWN*

... you know how it goes

Of course, when you take into account variations in radar reflectivity, that m/cycle that's first in line may not be speeding. It could be that truck another 1/2k down the road. and visual identification of the speeder is impossible when you're booking them for 11 over.

Obviously you must be refering to some other nicompoop, not a seasoned expert like me that chooses his locations carefully and ambushes nastily with great success!

No "iffy" tickets from this boy
