    $150 later.....

Well, im finally riding legally on my learners, and at no less than $150.50
christ, better off buying my full from scratch from some unloyal aa worker

$49 for the basic handlings - o m sweet mother of wtf
$22.50 for my quick eye test
and the whopping $79 for a few scratchies, i think id have been better off spending the $150 on lotto scratchies and paying any fines with the winnings, its all a gamble anyway
owell, its done and im legal

    sharaaaaaaaaaaaa sharaaaaaaaaaaa baaabeeeeeey

how soon can i get my restricted with whatever courses etc?

I must say, that is considerable more than it was for me when I got me learners. And I only did that a couple of year ago.

    Safe riding, and enjoy yourself!

Back when I was a lad....... Ahh forget it every thing gets more expensive as time goes on stil a rip off tho. Think it cost me $30 or so to get my licence back in 84.....
Think I sat a multi choice test, some oral questions, then they gave me a piece of paper saying that I could ride on the road. Had to do a practical then six months later (?) I had my full. I rode my C50 down to the MOT building in down town (auck) to sit my test. Parked it right outside

    Nice mate!
could be a plan to sit the restricted through CBTA guys, you can get your restricted in four months! (usually takes 8?!?) and they give you good bike control and hazard awareness training!

I'm looking at sitting mine through ROADSAFE in wellington, the restricted course costs, ~370 including license.

Yikes, getting your licence was expensive. Glad I'm finished.

Ah, when I did my handling course, I turned up 1km away at the wrong street!
Moral: consult a map & read directions (hint: street name) before setting off.

For the restricted stage: I went straight ahead a couple times.
Couldn't see the indicators light up on that Toyota Windom with the 7:30am morning sun and all.
Heaps of U-turns and adhock driving routes

Done 4x 'AA' eyesight tests once within 12mths. Talking about licence graduation and renewal fun! Asked if I could skip since I was a frequent visitor - couldn't.

hehe, yea, so you gonna use my bike and get your restricted now before i take the L plate off :P?

no licence = kept L plate on
Learner Licence = gonna take it off, or perhaps i keep it on, havent really decided which way to weight it up, 30 over limit fine at 100 spotted cause of bright L plate, or no L plate and 100 less chance to be stopped, in theory, hmm

dunno bout rally aaron, quite possibly
went for 230k ish ride today, totally oblivious to any fuel or lack there of, ran out of petrol out wairau valley township , had no faith in reserve so , stopped and apparently that garage hasnt had petrol in 4 years, luckly some cool guy led me back to his farm and let me use his pump :>

got back like 3;20 today filled up expecting to go out again, with stu but i dont know what happened with that :<
