I have read that the earlier 950's were slightly higher than the later ones, but by how much and whether that meant they had a different stand I've no idea. Anyway, comparing my bike to Joe's the bikes are the same height, but my centre stand is definately 30mm higher. This means it's difficult, if not nigh on impossible to get the bike onto the stand

Before I start chopping the stand up to shorten it, does anyone want to swap their standard height stand for my 'S' length one?
I thought it was just me being weak, when I struggled to get it on the centre stand.
I do remember the P.O. saying something about the stand and pointing to it but my eyes had over-ridden my ears by that stage

Yep yours has an S stand, we compared them with mine and our mates S once before (all 04), I think some of them came in with the wrong stand originally which is what you have.

I would class that as a bonus...There is more height for doing things on the bike and given the fact that Eddie popped over this afternoon, we had a look. Once he had a few lessons in swinging the bike up and grabbing the right purchase point he was happy as Larry...I mean Eddie!
I will not divulge what we did next though and where we rode....
I have video, but silly me put the camera on the front guard. The track was so rough, the upper bill kept diving down and masking all the good bits...Bugger!
I will have to remember to put the camera on the helmet for the rough stuff, on the guard for the namby pamby road riding...

Eddie was just grabbing it in the wrong place. A quick lesson from me and we were smiling, in fact it was so easy, it launched itself and wheelied...
Thompson Track is nice and dry at the moment but not really condusive to big bikes...Hmm

It will need editing big time. The suspension over the bumps didnt help as the bill kept diving over the picture...

Geez Joe, FFS get that front tyre changed for something like a T63 or Rallyecross M8, and get yerself some grip in the corners-Scorp on the front = high risk of an ooops!

    T63 @ $99 = security

( best money youll spend on her!)
