Hi Guys,
Any word on the new Mitas 150/70x18 (?E10) that was supposed to be here earlier this year?
Is there a matching front to?
Anyone tried them?
Cost?
How much is a front Conti here in NZ?
Cheers

i just couldn't find the love for my new touring screen, was just to wide at the top.. like a massive window...
while surfing the web i found a neat pic of a tall screen that got the chop.
i just trimmed a little of the sides, looks heaps better..

Hey guys, I thought some of you may be interested in this?

Nah!.......doesn't show![]()
I can smell you....
My battery has been dying over the past couple of weeks. Wouldnt start the bike couple of weeks ago so gave it a charge. Worked well till this morning when it struggled but managed to crank it in the cold(ish) this morning. No load voltage reading OK (12.7v +). Bit of reading reveals that battery can sulphate and give OK voltage but not enough current for starting. Yuasa YTZ14S (OEM) is $500 at last report. Bit of searching revealed MotoBatt brand which is imported by Whites. They produce a MBTX9U which is a replacement for the YTZ14S (same technology - AGM and VRLA). CCA is a bit lower but at $99NZ though it was worth a shot. Made the decision at lunchtime, bought on way home from work (local store had one in stock) and fitted when home. Cranks bike over faster than YTZ ever did.
This may end up being a waste of money or I may be laughing all the way to the bank. Only time will tell. Gonna get a hammering over winter. Lots of cold starts and short runs for getting to work.
Cheers R

Only one thing to say to all of you guys
Get a Remac battery stabiliser or similar. Flat batteries will be a thing of the past and replacing batteries will also not be needed again. I have used one of these for years and have never had to replace a battery. Just remeber to plug it in it's that simple really. Bike is guaranteed to start when you want it to.
One small problem, no permanent power in my garage, have to run an extension cord each time I want to weld etc. Well down the list of things to be done.
