The use of the quotation marks on the word pedantic is incorrect.
The context suggest that the quotation marks are being used incorrectly for emphasis, however the situation indicated in the text incorrectly indicates an ironic usage - as if the person in question (in this case me) would actually not be pedantic when pointing out your error. In actual fact, that person would be a pedantic bastard of the highest order by pointing out this error.
Actually, that was not really wot I really, REALLY wanted to say, no, I held back a little.
