It's listed at $9750, I am very slightly ono at that price.
    Thought I recognised the bike.

You've probably seen and heard me screaming passed your place on the 660SMC.

Why are you parting ways with the Adventure?

Bloody hoons, whats the neighbourhood coming to?

While the 950 is fantastic in the open stuff it's a bit big for me in the tighter, knarlier stuff and thats mainly whats around Wellington, or maybe it's just a better bike than I am a rider. Take your pick.

Besides that I have renovations to fund.

With all the farkles I have done to the DR to date, and including the still to be fitted FCR carb the DR owes me $3200, including the original purchase price. Best bang for buck I've owned to date I think.

Thanks. yeah, getting this trip in before any little scrogs come along.
I'm lucky enough to get the leave approved by mrs stig as it is.

I'll start up a ride report for sure, maybe on advrider.
Took a fair effort and planning to get it to the attached state so I'm looking forward to getting some riding in.

I dunno. There's a few here that can get them to that state pretty quickly.

Cost a bit to get back together though...

I know, 6 weeks ago it looked like this.

    crating only took one evening.
The good chaps at Red Barron swapped me the crate in return for some beers.

Been nice to Griffon I've been away from KB for a bit and just realised who you are.

Take care and make sure you post a ride report. That was a condition of the sale right?

    Cheers R

You caught me on a good day as we've had next to no internet until today.
I've been keeping a journal and trying to work out how my camera works.
While remote, most of the roads through Russia have been a little too good, we've hit Mongolia now and just changed some knobblies on tonight so we'll hit some good trails soon. It's not just the roads though, languages, fuel shortages, meeting people and the border crossings make it all quite interesting
My bike luggage needs to go on a diet now. it's like trying to drive the leaning tower of pisa when your a bit shattered.
Will start to turn the journal and pics into a ride report and start posting it online as I come across internet. Will keep you posted.
Some pics attached of your old stead in Eurasia.

I was going to say....."lucky bastard" but I know luck had nothing to do with it, more like a few sacrifices and lots of hard work and maybe a little bit of luck
