This has some pretty good examples of why I sold my 950, especially the 20 seconds from 3'10 some cool riding in there though.

They make great road bikes though (bad weather and poor roads thrown in for good measure)

Hehe, don't post very often but have had my 990 for two years now and its just getting better all the time.
Have always been pissed about the glitched throttle at low revs...jerkey it was......
Waited for the warranty to expire before trying to fix it. Followed many threads on ADV rider, seen people re-mapping etc. It never seems to fix the prob.
One guy had removed the secondary butterfly valves.....
This mod has done it!. So simple and when you think about it, makes sense.

My Duc 916 has no secondary butterfly's.
The function of these must be for emissions regs. Possibly noise/airbox induction etc. They must be moving around at low revs causing the lurching on low throttle openings. With all the low speed pogoing that we complain about.
The mod has also stopped the jerkiness at higher speeds when you close the throttle and open it again

Tested with a 700k round trip or there abouts to Christchurch, hence the lateness of this post.
The 990 is much better for it though the injection system on these bikes is not quite as good as some but now noticeably better.

Time to get rid of the cats.......hehe!.
    I can smell you....
