Bump, love my ADV though it does a better impression of a dragster than an actual dirt bike on metal roads
Hence the need to fit pipes and rejet just to be sure it dont get boring![]()

To true,
they just wheel spin everywhere and without reasonI just don't know why and I am still trying to figure it out as often as possible. Also uses a lot of gas
.
I can smell you....
Ah you got me!, I have a serious Kona addiction at the moment and I feel the need to use it again![]()
I can smell you....
Am I allowed to post a pic of one of these in this thread?

This remind's me of 2003 when the first reports in American Dirt Bike of the new 125mph ADV came out, it was all shock and awe and a bit unbelievable. and to be honest some years later after laying hands on a Big Orange Adventure for myself, that first metal road excursion made me wonder o my gosh what have I done and could one survive so much power on the Gravel
Time passed and with a bit of practise and some loud pipes to allow you to detect wheelspin before it gets to out of hand and she is all dandy, though a lot of respect is required for a 100hp to be unleashed on the loose stuff.
So now we have 2013. 10 years later now we have a 150mph dirt bike with 150hp and you got to ask, traction control off and in sports mode would you live, I'm not so sure as the original Dakar Adventures were about 140hp and got banned after I year and labelled as deadly
Time will tell but am unsure if I'm up for it myself (I know they have 100hp offroad mode but who could resist the temptation at least once)
I'd not like to try it on gravel without the electronic aids, I'd be on my arse in a couple of seconds. Likewise on the road for normal riding. That said, with good road conditions the TC leaves things to me and it sure is fun!
The combination of the suspension, 21", seating pos, fancy ABS and fancy traction control, lets an "average" skilled rider like me have fun.
