right deal is.. hopefully getting a bike which wont turn over, kick start jammed. the guy says the big end had enough play to let a sproket move and jam.. sooooooo. he seems to think that a bottom end rebuild will do. (how true this is im not sure, what do you think?)

in terms of how far id like to go with the rebuild.. i think probily a full bottom end. so big ends, conrod (not sure if its somthing i need to do), check the valves maybe get a kit with new intake ones? piston, rings and gaskets. if ive missed anything let me know.. this will be my first time trying something like this but i do have a couple of clues.

i went on motocrossparts.co.nz and figured parts will probily cost about a grand. am i far off??

crank bearing $22 out a stock at the mo
    piston about $350
    full gasket set $300
would have to check $$ on conrod kit not listed on line

these are rrp would do them at a better price than shown here by a reasonable amount
personable i would strip it down slowly lookin to see what has gone wrong unless it is already stripped in which case you need to hope its all there and check every thing as you go

Actually, check the pricing on a hot crank kit and just replace it instead of replacing the conrod.

my Xr used to do this.....

could be a problem with the kickstart itself
