It'll be interesting to see what it sells for. A while back there was some shit splattered on a wall that was called 'art' (with a silent 'f' no doubt) and was touted as being worth thousands.

If bike rego wasn't so expensive I'd be tempted to bid. $2080 at the mo'.

Actually on a more serious note it's fair to say I'm no fan of religion but he's only doing the same thing the other churches do. Look at the Pope and the Catholics.

At least the money he's raising isn't being funneled overseas to some bank in Rome. Those Catholics, go into a poor land, promise to educate and save the people, at the same time teach religion. Buy up all the land then rent it back to the people. As the peoples income rises they then pay for building more churches, give money to the church each week and pay rent to them for their leasehold land. The ultimate business model.

Good on a boy from the back blocks of NZ for doing the same thing. According to the news items tonight on telly if everything they say is true then the Catholic Church is one serious cult. And a serious cult that probably doesn't support us bikers.

    who supplied the poo??

A sculpture of ACC and Environment Minister Nick Smith made out of cow manure has topped $3000 on auction site TradeMe.co.nz.

The auction for the sculpture, entitled Nick Smith In The Shit, closes on Friday. Bidding had reached $3010, though the reserve set by Canterbury artist Sam Mahon had not yet been met.

The listing describes the sculpture as "light and hollow and highly polished".

The sculpture was on display at the COCA Gallery in Christchurch, exhibited on a steel stand.

Mahon is a Canterbury painter, printmaker and sculptor, who usually works in bronze.

He has also written three books -- the latest, My Father's Shadow, was about his father Justice Peter Mahon, who headed the Royal Commission into the Erebus air disaster.
