How so? It makes the same power as a 250 twin. The only downside for this bike as a beginner bike would be the cost of 2 stroke rebuilds but hopefully it doesn't need one!

i take it you mean 4 stroke? my 250 twin 2t is around 55 hp 150s sure as hell dont do that.

given the rgv doesn't rely on powervalves like the rg does it's less prone to meltdowns. though your not immune to the usual piston wear that is associated with 2 strokes. Ask the owner if he's had to replace piston or rings at any stage.

I had an rg for my first bike, it was great. You will probably out grow it in 6 months but that's no biggie.

The topic of coversation is a RGV150 , they do not have powervalves.

The RG150 does.

The RGV250 as you seem to be fixated with... yes, that does have powervalves.
