its really the medias fault for only mentioning the bad side of a story. The rule of thumb for media is to present any side of a story that gets peoples blood boiling, and angry, thats their number one objective. Number last, is stories that make people feel warm and fuzzy.

Thats correct Doug, you cant blame a Stockcar Meeting if a knob crashes his car on the way home.

TV3 = Can West = lowest common denominator programming.
Spills and thrills = more viewers = more revenue.

    That's why I don't watch TV3

That kind of logic only works in the real world, not in the perverse land of half truths and lies inhabited by ACC and Nick Smith

Now all they have to do is decide how best to distribute them. What a cool thing to do, makes you pleased to be a human sometimes.
    Nice, good effort people!!

Midget GOONR has to go back to hospital some time in the next six weeks so I will catch up with Heart Children then.

It may be that TV3 were only supplied with limited footage, maybe (tui?). I only saw a TV1 camera crew there, walking around interviewing people. Also the editors, at both news networks, are very good at modifying footage to suit themselves and sensationalise things.

Thanks for attending everyone - was a great ride, and good to meet some new people.

Miss Mully took a whole lot of photos on the North Western from an overbridge, so I'll post them up later.

How the hell do I stand up now and shout out how unfair this is!
You're a wise woman, "Annie". I had much the same thought after unleashing a string of expletives fit to make a longshoreman blush. Particularly on that road, which is usually full of traffic and covered in leaves.

That's true in theory, Maha, but the reality is that perception is fact in these cases, and this hasn't assisted the perception of bikers.

HHmm might have heard that prang. I thought that it was 2 cagers that did a nose to tail but it must have been the bike hitting the car. It explains now why the riders behind me disappeared. If it was then that is the corner that really tightens up on itself and descends relatively steeply thru the bend. I can't excuse what he did but I can see how it might have happened.
Thanks to Maha, Mully, Mom and others for a well run protest. Looking at some of the weird actions by some of the cars, trucks and even caravans I was surprised that there was not more incidents.
I must be out of condition....my arse and wrists are still numb or achy.
