Yep agree. I was doin more than 100k on a bike with L plates at the start of the Western loop!
Any other rides, organizers a bit slower. I'd really hate to have been a real L plater!

A ute from Ullrich Aluminium (IIRC) was pretty pushy, but I'll be buggered if I managed to remember his plate.

Speaking to someone on a CS650 at the end, he thought we needed more chasers and traffic control or similar, which maybe would have helped those of us towards the back...? He had been putting in the effort.

I think it was to fast we kept getting broken up so the cars could pull out into lane Amongst us. Was a good learning curve for the next one or the Bikoi ride though. Needed to be 60-70K or so we rode as a pack. Much better nearer the end when the traffic slowed us to one big group! Just comments though not complaints.
Still much better turn out than I expected and everyone road really sensibly!
I just hope Phil Goeff puts his money where his mouth is LOL!!

Big thanks from me to all the effort Maha and co put in, great show!

I thought the speakers spoke well especially LES!!! Good on all of ya!!

Btw Someone did have an off on the way out, down that windy road just out from the Museum.
Bike VS car on that tight corner. Looked a bit like that Really Nice Metallic Rust Coloured GSXR100 that's for sale on here but I'm not sure?
What happened? rider OK I hope!!
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Cool, I know they said "suspected broken leg" but broken bones can be a real bugger to get right sometimes.

Was a great ride, new faces etc. Public enjoyed it.
    Most credit to
The three riders at the front who dealed with traffic mangement Maha, Kiwi Graham and cant exactly remember name but rode a black hornet 919. Ixion and Mom for dealing with media, phill goff and the new green mp and Big Dave for arranging camera set ups etc for kiwirider. Scary bikers sewing circles produing quality products.

Oh apparently someone in a car drove past and said "pay up or shut up" oh well there will always be haters.

It wasn;t one big group: that concrete truck and lots of cars were between the big group and a load more further back. That and some unfamiliarity may have contributed to some confusion at the Wellesley Street off ramp...

I 100% agree though. I have no complaints at all, only thanks and congratulations for the organisers and everyone who made the effort

Well, that went off well! What a fantastic team effort. The official count of bikes from the Police traffic cameras the first time we went under one was 321. I counted 35 at the museum before the main bunch arrived, but honestly by then things got really busy and I was not in a counting kind of mood I know more riders hooked up with the ride so lets say in excess of 350.

Lets be watching TV one news today, they covered the whole thing, including taking film of the big ride going under the Market Road over bridge. National radio were covering the event as well, so it have been getting on the hour news bulletin coverage as well.

Speechifying is fun No wise cracks about my big mouth either you lot. And Big Dave, I was standing up

Nope he was not ok. Thats me in the pic holding the pain relief gas.

Rider was asian dude (45) called Jock. Hes got a very nasty broken thigh/dislocated hip and busted up ankle.

No fault to the car, this rider was just going to fast and lost it. (30kph sign posted)

He sends his appologies for how the media will make a big deal out of this.

    Arrow Thank You All

That was exceptional, to everyone involved and to those who turned and made this ride successful, thank you. For a first time effort at this kind of thing from a few of us, I can honestly say that it was a pleasure to put together. Im sure the crowd at the end was bigger than the start? Must have picked a few along the way. Thanks to Gremlin for getting us the Motorway at Wellesley st, a bit of traffic control at the set of lights was put in place to ensure all (I hope) bikes got around without stopping./

    Massive Day

Poor bugger, as I was riding out an ambo and paramedic went past me in the opposite direction, I was kinda hoping they where just cutting through the domain.
