I suspect you and all the Southern Cross participants crash a lot less frequently than average, and I don't just mean on the event. You're an experienced bunch of riders and I doubt you get many people on Learner and Restricted licenses on big stuff like that. The 250 riders are the top crashers, eh? Some of them are probably well under 5000km between accidents.

But fark yeh, the media muck rakers will be loving the crashes AFTER the ride today. Are they making it clear it was not part of the ride? Thought so.

No fault to the car, this rider was just going to fast and lost it. (30kph sign posted)

He sends his appologies for how the media will make a big deal out of this.
Thankfully it sounds like he won't be able to make it on Tuesday.

yeh typical media hype, the only 15 second clip of the protest was the guy in a strecther. So one sided, they are a news station FOR New Zealand supposed to be non biast the citizens should and deserve to see genuine footage of the protest. farrkin hell 3news.

Was a good ride, i was towards the back and had to do a bit of catching up at times as some have already mentioned, only said hi to a few peps but was good fun, peeled off at High brook on the way back and was wondering how the domain meeting went, looks like it went mostly fine
Wont be able to make the trip down on monday but will be up for other local cruises

I am very disappointed. Really. Maha and his band of wonderful helpers managed to get in excess of 300 bikes safely through the Auckland Motorway system this morning without incident. Full credit to them all. Some of us have put an enormous amount of time and effort into planning and executing this ride today.

For one person to not be able to control the "wrist twist" down a very narrow, winding road, speed signed 30kph I might add, on cold tyres AFTER the event is over and end up in an ambo on his way to hospital is inexcusable! As a result he has potentially undermined all the friggen work that went into making this thing so good, AND damaged our protest in the process. How the hell do I stand up now and shout out how unfair this is!

Got to go now, I am apparently more than disappointed!

One more thing! Any of you heading to Wellington, take this as a fucking lesson!

    You can't blame TV3.

They wanted news that was different to everyone else. And we gave it too them on a platter.

Please, please, please behave and take care going to and from Wellington. I saw some dicey stuff on the motorway today (some just can't help racing can they).

Thank you very much to the rider of a white Harley. They did an excellent job keeping the back of the bunch at an appropriate speed.

Thumbs up to the speakers, very well spoken.

anyone else have any problems with a nob head in a black bmw just after the bridge? i saw him having an arguement with a rider a couple of bikes ahead of me doing hand jestures etc etc then i swear he was trying to take me out only missing me by a couple of inches at best. then had the nerve to toot at me and pull the fingers. steel capped boots would have come in very handy

He REALLY REALLY needs it, so he can pace up and down in his hotel room, I mean cell, at a cost of 60 000$+ per year to the tax payer. Wots a .22 bullet? $1.50?.
