Hmm brake side? May not be chain tension issue on this one then. Yours an '08? Hubs look quite different on later model KTMs, they look like billet but maybe still cast but machined to look like billet? Sure all your spokes have even tension?
Yeah tommorth, easy to pull bolt but I still have to replace heim joint anyway.
Done an info trawl on chain tension for the new BMW 450X (has cs sprocket in line with swingarm pivot). They appear to have had some early probs from running chains too tight, now suggestion is running 5-10mm slack. Will try this and see how it looks/compares to standard.
my ktm85 did that exact thing bt after about a couple of months we noticed the hub had cracked so we had to buy a new 1![]()
Is it running true still?
Are the cracks all the way round the hub?
They look very much like fatigue cracks.
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
Saving money on motorcycle production costs and spending more on product development - handbags.
