    What slipons for XL1200R sportster/roadster? ('05)

    hey
Looking for ideas on pipes for the roadster.
Have been doing a bit of looking around and seems the Screaming Eagle II pipes sound great but are no longer available?
Anyone have any ideas for me on what options give a similar sound? Looking for a deep tone but not too loud.
S&S apparently are pretty close, but not readily available..

    Cheers

You are in Wellington? Ride down to Cycleworks and discuss your requirements. Probably be cheaper than Screaming Eagles too, and they will be able to taylor the noise level to your requirements.

Try USA. Starcycle.com heres a linky to your ride.
US $ of course plus shipping to NZ is US$90 I think. I've heard good reports on KB about their service.
Another to try is www.denniskirk.com - I've used them for parts and they offer good service, often with run-out prices on bits.

One thing to note - many of the US pipes for HD's are pretty loud .... if they have a quiet baffle option order that as it will still be noisy!

Is an XL1200R a Sportster? if so you could do a whole lot worse than this:

hey cheers for the thoughts! I'll check out those sites.
am considering the vance and hines straight shots as well. seems to sound pretty close to the SEII's and are not tooo pricey..

they have the option for quiet baffle as well which might be a bit more warrantable..
