Glad you're still with us Deb! If I see a driver making maneuvers like that I steer well away from them...but like you say, we still can't control others actions.

Makes you count your blessings, and in your case a new pair of fab shoes!

You would probably not survive a bin in heavy m/way traffic at 100 k's, unless the cagers are very alert and avoid your tumbling bod. Having said that, I did, but I don't recommend it.
Always give wankers like that a very wide berth.

Glad you're ok and have learnt a lesson the painless way...some of us aren't that "lucky".

Lucky mate, but well done you learnt that lesson
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I'm not far up the line either if you want to come round and clean it. Great choice Debk I was really impressed with my time on the demo 636 and weight wise it's as light as you can get a 600 these days.
Go away old man - MINE. I have recent experience ( and still going) of running in a 600.

I've survived too into oncoming traffic. The truck that hit me from the side flicked me over the median barrier. Broke my wrist.

Glad you missed them. One of the exercises is trying to imagine what the heck the clown near you is going to do next & how to avoid it/escape route.

People are increasingly impatient so lane change at random. They don’t see a bike as a threat so they often ‘forget’ they just passed one.

The others may offer to run in your new bike (like that’s ever going to happen) I’d rather ride the Dragster, remember seeing one at a bike show, they’re cool.

Make sure you remember to strap those shoes up, you might break a heel or something techi-mi-cal.
Don't you look at my accountant.

ahh the joys of m/way riding. glad you're ok debk..
I've brushed my backpack across the front corner of a car bonnet taking evasive action to avoid getting squashed between them & a truck. think about it....

glad to hear you're ok. always nice to know that we dont die till it's our time even if we are kinda stupid......

I've noticed when I have "moments" the "woah factor" doesn't play in my head so long as it used to, I just keep riding, lookin for the next one......

Great riding debk. Had a similar close shave many years ago but without the prior warning of the idiot's driving habits (just rocketed up from somewhere behind me then shot across my bow without warning) - it's not fun. Glad you handled it well - I think you're ready for your 636.

How did you feel afterwards? I stopped the bike on the footpath, and I was shaking so much I had extreme difficulty getting the lighter flame and the end of the cigarette in the same place at the same time for long enough to light a smoke.
