Met a young guy at the Remarkables rally in Queenstown once.
He had ridden down from Auckland or somwhere near on a Vespa!
He told me about about passing out in his tent once at another rally on another Vespa and when he woke up someone had hacksawed his scooter in half.

They are mostly aluminium but newer ones would be even easier I would think with all the plastic.

About thouse 3 scooter boys, have you ever seen that gorilla foam stuff that they (builders/ engeneers) use for glueing and filling in gaps if you put a few squirts of that in the exhause and give it bout 30 min to rise... that scooter will never bother you again

that gorilla foam even causes shit for the guns themselves...

I know you don't want to harm them, but I have a nice image in my head I would like to share.

Remember those old westerns and the way they slung their rifles under the saddle?? Very cool looking. This would probably be best on a cruiser, but you have the same set up but with a baseball bat instead.

Come up behind, with baseball bat in hand swinging, and pass one. As you pass him, wallop him over the head. Hard. He will probably fall off, and at this point you slow down and let the others past (if they are still continuing). Accelerate and repeat again. They will get the message pretty quickly.

NOTE: Due to a PC public, this manoeuvre would frighten them. Best used in conjunction with a swinging license plate and perhaps as few witnesses as possible...

Easiest thing to do is to just remove yourself from the situation, just take the next left, go round the block, by the time you get back to where you started - they'll be long gone.

I had to use the happy pedal in my cage the other day to get away from a crazy(like P-powered aranui trailer white trash style) mongrel in a 1.8 commodore, and I gotta say, speeding in a residential area just scares the crap out of me...

I'd be very careful here as those scooter boys may be just 2 from a highly organised gang of scooter boys. You mess with one scooter boy you mess with all of them. Maybee some people here are to young to remember Quadrophenia.

Ah yes - wait until they are parked and mess up the angles of all of their mirrors. They'll take so long to realign them you'll be able to make clean get away.
Wave a pen at them and threaten to mark their anoraks.
It's a long weekend coming up - challenge them to a rumble at the beach.....

wtf, why? ditch the scooter and get a proper bike, you'll still get laughed at by people on the street for riding a piago or a 'genuine' vespa at least with my sr250 i command there respect (well at least until they realise it's not a harley)
