When mine was stolen 2 months ago, we found a guy riding it in frankton (railway station area) up and down the tracks. Said he bought it for 2g from a guy in Tauranga.

so please everyone make sure they are locked up big time, and insure them if you can!
Sounds like these were locked up big time!!, someone knew they were there...

Some at AMI don't know what they're talking about - just had it recently with hubby's roadbike when i wanted to change the cover.
AMI have what they call Motorcycle Restricted Cover. Dirtbikes come under this. If you have everything else with them they should give it.

I also have all my insurance with AMI, they quoted $150 for a CRF250R, which I think is a bargain. Last year I got them to quote for off-road only cover on a DR-Z250 and they wanted $400? Weird.

Got my RMZ insured with Swann, costs about $25 a month. I think you'd be silly not to insure for that price.

I just insured all our bikes with Matt, I'm happy with the deal. Give him a call, even if you don't insure with him, you'll get good a chat about dirt bikes....
