I didn't exceed 120kmh and only stopped for gas, but I had to refuel around every 160-180km

Yeah, my best was on the Beemer in a shade under 19 hours but conditions were perfect and all I was trying to do was finish inside 24 hours. Everyone who has done it has a different perspective about the ride compared with those who haven't!

I don't expect we'll see Mr Random on it, he owns a Suzuki

One moment while I check my book of excuses...

    2005, I was on a 250.

    2006, I didn't have a bike.

2007, my left arm was in a cast.

    2008, I had no licence.

2009, being a bicycle courier for the year left me broker than a broke thing and completely incapable of affording the cost of the event.

    2010... we'll see.

Yup, I should've hardened up and done it that year. I seem to recall Hitcher saying so at the time.

Hmmm. 2010. The 24th GC. Good practice for the 25th. Only five more to get my mug!
