Oh BTW there is an ENTIRE RANGE OF BUELLS that you seem to have left out...

I will comment on the thing that irks me the most...the CR is an unfaired R...

WELL! it most certainly is NOT merely an unfaired version of the R. I happen to know this cos I frigging well own one. Thats what I thought until I rode one and the difference was night and day compared to the R. Then when I bought it and was avidly reading the manual I discovered that there are quite a few differences, like gearing ratio, wheel base, sprocket, suspension setup etc...

I have ridden a lot of different Buells and obviously own a few (LOL) and in my opinion riding a Buell is the most fun you can have with your clothes still on!

Biased? HELL YEAH! I have ridden a few other brands as well and can honestly say that the only other bike that was almost as much fun as the Buell was the Triumph Speed Triple
I simply covered the basics, and what was available new from dealers in NZ is quite different to what is on the Buell website. It was just a basic sampler to help with the designations.

Why don't you post up the model range?
The main difference between the R and the CR I rode was much improved fuelling on the CR, but that was simply a ECU patch. I prefer the R myself.

Point taken and apologies if it seemed as if I was having a go...

Got my Buell goggles on at the mo and am just so totally pissed at HD that I am a tad sensitive LOL.

For that matter the range that I am talking about is the good OL' back to basics tuber range and altho they have been out of production for a few years...from memory I think 2001 was when the last X1 rolled off the production line...they are still out there and available to buy.

Quite frankly if I had some spare cash I would be buying a 2010 XB12R...as well. Cos you can never have too many toys!

Mate, it's all good. I'm quietly fuming about it too.

I get what you mean now about the range too

XB12 STT is the "motard" and probably the best bike Buell made.

1125R is the sporting Rotax engined sportsbike.

1125CR is the "Cafe Racer" or unfaired 1125R/
thanks for the info, and the post

care to elaborate on why the XB12 STT is the best?

i was thinking a 12 would be the go anyway, from my googling the 9 sounds a little underpowered

good to see the buell fans coming out! show me moar...

The moment i get my full (ill have enough road experience) i am buying a XB9SX, in the blue. most likely have to import one as there's like no more new ones in NZ now, let alone in a year or so...

but i promise you this, i will have one.

its beautiful, the sound it makes shakes the earth beneath it. saw one today and nearly crashed staring at it. love love love buells.
