Bike won't sell

hi have had my bike on here fr awhile as well as couple of other sites,not one offer,maybe im asking to much fr it but i dont think so,have seen bikes the same model going fr more and mines a little bit different then most,its a 1992 cbr600f,smokin joes replica,has arrow muffler sounds good,very good condition,new wof and new 6months rego,any ideas why its not selling.have a look on here under my profile or in bike trader under smokin joes

Presentation is the key. Your pics show a grubby bike in a less than beautiful location. Try cleaning it and making it sparkle then take some decent pics in the sunshine in a tidy location.

If you want to sell it, sorry to say it but put it on trademe.

Sort out your spelling so people know your not an under 20 year old wannabe gangster. Get rid of words like "sounds mean" and "if it sells"

SELL the bike with better wording in your advertisment. Maybe mention that a bike is relatively cheap to paint, you like the paint job but I guarantee most people looking at it won't.

I wrote this pretty quickly without even seeing the bike, put some thought into it. Provide information and GOOD CLEAR photos, no "artistic" ones.

1992 CBR 600f Smokin' Joes Replica in immaculate condition (or however you truely believe it is)

Will have new W.O.F and registration with purchase.

Aftermarket Arrow muffler which sounds great on this bike.

XYZ tyres with whatever tread with XYZ kms.....etc

Describe service history, chain/sprockets, kms since oil change.

Why you are selling, how well you look after it, then maybe waffle on about the gay factory tool kit and disc lock.

I could'nt care less about these items i'd rather know when it last had it chain/sprockets/oil changes done and how well you've cared for it, the fact it comes with a made in cambodia crap factory tool kit does'nt really convince me to buy it.

One thing that can really help: have a dealer sell it on behalf. The fact that they can offer dealer finance makes selling a whole heap easier.

As i posted elsewhere you have to be doing something wrong.
The pictures don't do the bike any favours. The words don't sound well thought out.
One thought might be to explain WHY its got custom paint--most people think the worst
I'd be happy to sell the bike for you OBO

I agree completely about the photos. I asked for some when you first started selling it as I was quite interested. When I saw them I just gave up and looked elsewhere.

Actually ya know I looked back through ya posts and found the pictures from when ya bought the bike a few months back.They arepretty good why not reuse em??

If I had the time/effort I could consider selling my nc30 and buying yours. But to be honest I just don't right now, being in the middle of exams and all. Feel free to consider a swap if you would prefer trying to sell the nc30, they usually get nabbed up pretty quickly especially if you just price it around the same as yours

I just sold my SV650s. It had been on trademe for a couple of months [winter though], but it sold 2 weeks ago. Don't lower the price if you think its in between what others are asking, but just wait - you will sell it. I had a ridiculous offer given to me, and I sold it for 2k more - pays to wait, and it will go. Make sure you have lots of photos up.

Have added some better photos,were they really so bad it would put u off buying it,i know the colour is not to everybodys taste

Last two bikes I put up on trademe in the last year and a bit all sold within 4 days of going up. Just put a good account of service stuff in there, the added extras are just the bonus at the end.

I liked the colour. And those photos that Frosty posted are pretty good alright. They would have kept me interested. You need clear photos otherwise people just assume you're trying to hide stuff.

You're kidding, right? Sell a 17 year old bike on behalf through a dealer? What sort of commission do you figure on paying? Personally I'd far sooner put it on Tard Me with some decent pictures. Only my opinion but if I was in the market for what is getting to be a pretty elderly bike (albeit a tidy one, and something a bit different), I probably wouldn't be looking in dealer's windows.
