Around the Pautahanui bay. Better surface, better cambers, better lines of sight.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Well I vote for.....Milford road, Stair case, Etterick to Kelso, Catlins, and Cardrona/crown range in that order... So why were they not in your pole?

Oh....and that bit of road through an old Kauri forest heading north to Hokianga...

It's crap. Never ending, narrow, and full of trucks and 4WDs.

I used to prefer Paekakaiki because I didn't know the Takas and rarely went over that way. Now I like the Takas - I know it better now - also no driveways and less dickheads crossing the centre line.

Start your own poll if it means that much. Sheesh.

He wants a pole though. I don't really want to go there.

What about the Stelvio pass in Italy...

The pole is about LOCAL twisties in Wellington.

I agree with Hans, Pautahanui bay is a brilliant little stretch, it would be epic if it was a bit longer.

Gets my vote, tight and twisty and the light oncoming keeps you on your toes.

There's also no tards undertaking you around blind corners.

Tried that once on the R6. Found it tight, bumpy and dangerous. Very limited visibility and lots of concealed driveways. Might be fun on a pushbike though...

    Where's Akatarawa Rd - don't think I've tried there.

I also like Makara but maybe because it is so quiet, and very close to me.

Not a fan of the takas - too much traffic.
