I don't know if our family paid for their land with muskets but I know they did get to see their land.- Ferry landing side of Whitianga.
Unfortunately for them the Crown, generously and retrospectively, set aside all land deals that had been completed for some period prior to the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi.
Gave the land back to the Maori without compensation to those dispossessed of their land.

Atheism and Religion are but two sides of the same coin.
One prefers to use its head, while the other relies on tales.
I think of Hone Harawira and his party like the Nazis, come into power and become the government, then take over the country, forcing white mofos into gas chambers
Thats whats up.
Well looks like Hone has basicly been told to behave or fuck off from the party at their meeting. Papers reckon a split in the party is in the works. Anyone remeber the Alliance party?

WTF? A political party with the fortitude to really reprimand one of their own. This is outregeous, who does that?
I mean, holding people to account for their actions, what's teh world coming to?
He's gone burgers.
He painted himself into a corner, for him to capitulate now and offer a genuine apology would not be possible - nor believable.
The Maoris get my vote next time, depending on ACC levies.
I certainly looks like the informed gossip that HH was unhappy with the direction the party was going was correct, as was the suggestion that he'd make them sack him to boost his radical credentials, rather than resigning.
I always thought that the Maori party wouldn't be able to hold together long term as the usual left-right issues would eventually pull apart...didn't think it would be this soon though.
