fz250 fazer carbs

I've called around a few places and no one seems to know. Would Fz250 Fazer carbs be fine on an fzr250 2kr? Not sure if they have the same engines, similar?

Mate - as long as they fit you can chuck just about anything on. That's the easy bit.

You just have to make sure they put out the right combination of air and fuel. That's the tricky bit.

AFAIK the FZ250, FZR250 and Zeal all used pretty much the same motor. Therefore carbs should be the same.

Check that the size of the carb is the same ie 34mm or whatever. Then you'll know it will fit. You may strike it lucky and find they all use the same 34mm Mikuni downdraught carbs (or whatever size). Then it's just a matter of rejetting until you get what works.

Should be a piece of cake.

But most likely it'll be a wretched months worth of aggravation...

Did you talk to Buckets and Bits about their FZR carbies?

I never got a reply from buckets and bits. I've decieded that I need a car right now. My bike may not work well, but it works. So in two weeks I get paid again, with that plus savings I shall buy a car and so will be able to work on my bike and still get around. For I still need to remove the rear shock to either be rebuilt or to be replaced, carbs, seats, speedo and if all goes well a shit hot coat of red paint.
