I didn't see Carl anywhere in the vid? I did see a guy giving a WR250R a flogging, but that's not the laid back Carl we all know, surely that wasn't him

    Nice vid mate

Ha ha, 'tis amazing what no longer being concerned about the weight of your bike does for your riding choices as to what you'll have a go at... even on crap tyres.

This chap really looks like he can punt a bike, them's forest tracks are rife with skid demons.

Yup, LOL, I sore that. These adventure racing chaps are tough, I'm sure he will be back on the KTM in a jiffy. I used to ride in areas like the Brecon Beacons, used to spend all day just trying to keep the bike moving. Shattering when wet.

It really is an enjoyable stress free ride with some good views and the odd slightly trickier bit if you know which diversions to take.
Assuming you haven't done it already, you should put it on a 'to do' list. Catch us on a weekend and you'll get a group ride.

That looks like a very nice road too. I've been up the Wanganui River Rd not too far away.

Both are good but more gravel on Rangitatau East and Kauarapaoa Roads and a lot less busy! Great scenery on either ride.
