It looked like they were intentionally trying to lose traction with their rear wheels & were even leaning their bikes over excessively. Not particularly good riding technique if you ask me. they should have slowed down going into the turn then gently opened the throttle up as they went past the apex of the corner so as to keep a more smoother upright cornering.
I'd say from their small bikes they were novices tho so I won't be too picky.

they would have been toast if they ran into any livestock on the track at those angles

Legends in the making, probably the next batch of wild card riders at Suzuka WSBK! Loved the two shots of #70 laying it on its side and picking it up again. "Mr Designer-san, need narrower crankcase and fuel tank, 87 degree lean angle not enough"!!!
