Seen that bridal track a few times on 4x4 vids and always thought it would be good on a bike, Cheers for sharing.

That was a bloody good vid obf. Not too long, a good tricky track & a few dropped bikes so we know they're human too - get sick of seeing these vids of bloody super humans with excellent balance & skills

Not quite ADV video but very educational. Have used block and tackle before but didn't understand the same concept obtainable via snatch blocks and pulleys to gear down a load.
Could be useful if recovering a bike up a steep slope.

Snatch blocks rock. Ironman and Blackrat make some good value for money stuff.

I used to ride alone a lot. I carried about 60M of 6mm spectra and a couple of baby double purchase mainsheet blocks. They came in useful exactly once, in pulling my bike out of a creek, from an overhanging tree, dead vertical for about 6M.

The bike was fine, ish, but I had a bit of damage, and there was no way I was walking out of there any time that day.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

The day I think I need to take block and tackle along will be the day I stop riding.
I'm all for a prusik and 20m of 8.5mm though.

I was flabbergasted to see this GS800 on the gas thru the bog at 2:30. Later also Africa Twins, TTR, DRZ.
