    Owner Bike Sales

Why don't we set up something whereby say on the first Sunday of the month people meet up at such and such a place to sell/swap bikes? Pub carpark, country farm yard, beach etc. Location could alter.

Is that th one in albany? I thought it failed cause someone opposed it and the council wouldn't issue a permit.

Why would you need a permit? Just meet in a car park by the beach someplace. Informal.

You dont, but what happens is your event gets bigger than just a few bikes, and someone with nothing better to do moans to council and they bring the rulebook down and go through it with the fine-toothed comb and then find some arcane reason why you have to go, and then you are forced to stand up for yourself and then they call the police, and then you have to stand up for yourself again, and in general its just not any fun on a long term basis, unless you really enjoy that sort of crap.

You will be much better served to use someones' car park in an industrial area.

Swapmeets were from the era where there was no communication system, but now we have KB and TM so swapmeets are just social occasions.

    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Ellerslie Racecourse on Sun morn is not a social occasion.
